In Need of Lots of Prayers

We just found out my sister-in-law, who is only 50 yrs old has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  She has elected to fight but I'm not sure she is up for chemo.  Just the kind of person she is I'm afraid that she isn't going to do well.  I personally would just live as long as I could while controlling the pain I'm not up for chemo I watched my mother go through that and it was not pleasant watching as she was so sick and losing weight.  I decided when I was 15 yrs old that no way would I put those nasty chemicals in my body just to get a possible few more weeks or months.  Just not worth it for me.

She went up to Mayo yesterday but we have not heard what they said.  I'm guessing since we haven't heard that she probably didn't get such good news especially since the cancer has already spread to her liver.  All we can do is pray.  We are going to have a mass said for her and I've put her on some prayer chains.  There is always hope......and faith!

The Devil Is On The Prowl

I can't believe all the turmoil that is going on with our country, it feels like we are so divided and there is nothing but HATE going on all around us.  I have to say that when I go to Mass I pray real hard for this country and our President.  I think he is doing a really good job but if you listen to mainstream media he is racist, he is doing nothing but turning this country on it's head.  That is so far from the truth, he is a God-fearing Christian that just wants to make our country great again.  The liberals have twisted everything!  I feel as though the devil was just released and goes by the name Democrat.  They can't see the forest thru the trees.  If they would just listen they might find he is doing a great job to make things better.  It reminds of the story of Saul and how God took his eyesight until he could "really see". I hope thing turn around soon.

Easter

It's been awhile since I've posted....Life just gets in the way sometimes.  Here we are the day before Easter, I can't believe it's been 2 years since Chris was received into the Catholic Church!  Time flies when you are having fun!

We meant to go to at least one of the Stations of the Cross this year but it just escaped us. Ash Wednesday to now went by in a blur.  Chris has been battling with his COPD he has been rather sick for the last 6 weeks.  Hopefully, he is on the mend now!

I never found out what Chris gave up for Lent, but I gave up Facebook.....not a good choice since I don't FB much.  Next year I will have to think up something better to give up, probably Instagram I love Instagram!

We are not doing much for Easter just going to Mass (the early one 7:00am) then come home and make lunch...Ham and scallop potatoes, and corn yummy!  I will be glad that there are no more meatless Fridays since we both turned 60 this year we didn't have to fast.  It would have not been a good thing for me since I was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic in January.  I was not thrilled about this in the least. Sometimes I really wonder if I am a diabetic I have NONE of the symptoms.  Oh well, it could be worse I could be insulin dependant like my hubby! Everybody has a cross to bare and I guess that is mine.
